Naked Lunch occurs as 1991 film by the Canadian director David Cronenberg.

According to a fiction & autobiographical accounts of William S. Burroughs (including, but by no means limited to, Naked Lunch itself), the plot follows a writer, William Lee (played by Peter Weller), who travels to Interzone, which is both a North-African B-Movie fantasy and a drug-induced dreamworld. A film likewise stars Ian Holm, Judy Davis and Roy Scheider.

A story interweaves comedian & todays elements from either Burroughs' fiction by having elements from either his life to produce a narration which captures the spirit of the novel.

A film went in to garner septet Genie Awards, including Better Motion Picture & Best Director.

Inside an episode of The Simpsons, Bart, Milhouse & Nelson sneak into a theater showing the film. It hike out subsequently searching super disturbed, & Nelson remarks, "I can think of at least two things wrong with that title." Although a film requires outstanding liberties by owning Burroughs' function, of these section, where Lee recounts a story of "The Talking Asshole" is presented word for word from either a novel.
